Personal Statement
My name is Laramie "Paige" Ammerman. I am a setter and will be graduating in the class of 2021. Volleyball is and will continue to be one of the most important parts of my life. To be able to continue playing what I am so passionate about in college would be a dream come true and I am absolutely committed to making it happen. As a player, I am a leader by example, I am coach-able and strive to make myself better everyday, and I am versatile as I have played every position on the court in some point in my life. Not only do I push myself on the court, I also push myself in the classroom maintaining a GPA above 4.00 and taking honors and AP classes.
Freshman year in high school, I earned a JV-Varsity swing position as an outside hitter. That following club season, I made the 17-1's team for Four Corners Club Volleyball playing DS and opposite. My team went on to get 5th at Colorado Crossroads and win 1st at our own tournament, beating our 18's team. As I started sophomore year, I was thrown into the setter position which ended up being the perfect spot for me. I worked incredibly hard to dial in my sets and ended up being on the court for every point throughout the entirety of the season. I continually worked to make myself better so that when club season came around, I was ready. This paid off, as I made the top team in the club for my 2019 season.
I not only want to find a college where I can compete, I also want to find a college where I can get a degree that will take me further in life. I believe that I am completely ready for this next step in my life and I can't wait to find the college that is right for me. Thank you for your time!
