My name is Lily DeMuth and I am currently a junior at Battle Mountain High School in Edwards Colorado. Sports has been a big part of my life starting in the 6th grade. It has taught me how to be a leader and how to work with others to achieve a common goal. Volleyball, Basketball, and Track are my main sports, however I think Volleyball is my favorite. My freshman year I was starter for my JV volleyball team and less than half way through the season I was moved up to Varsity as the alternate setter. We ended up going to states, and that was a huge eye opener of what I wanted to accomplish in the next few years.
My goal is to find a college with academics that challenge me and help provide me with the education that I need to succeed in whatever major I choose, along with playing volleyball at a competitive level. I have a 4.0 GPA and I am the vice president of the school as only a junior. I am also involved in many clubs such as yearbook, linkcrew, and national honors society. Currently my major is undecided, however I am interested in doing something that inspires me to make a difference in the world. When I was 8 I started a charity called the Pink Lemonade Day to Play. This charity helped children whose moms were undergoing breast cancer treatment, by giving them money to do something as a family. This helped me realize that as I get older I want to continue doing something that helps others.
