Versatile. Smart. Driven.
These are things I have learned about myself while playing volleyball. I have learned that I am very self-motivated and driven. For instance, I have had to overcome some obstacles to get to play on my High School Varsity team and top level Club team. I fought my way up from C team to JV to Varsity all while being asked to play multiple positions (setter, right side, DS). I was driven to excel at whatever position I was playing even if it felt uncomfortable or unfair.
I have also learned that I am very versatile. I can adapt to playing with new people and new positions very quickly. I play Libero/Ds in Club volleyball and play Setter and play ds for High School. By playing all of those positions, I have advanced my volleyball IQ and have become a very big cheerleader for my teammates, no matter what’s happening or who’s on the court. This year (17 Black) I have the privelege of playing on a high level team and been asked to transition to a full time Libero. Again, I find this a great opportunity to learn/excel at all of the positions on the court!
My academic goals for High School are to continue to take higher level classes. I would also love to continue my classes that involve leadership (like Student Ambassadors that I am currently involved) and helping others (Special Olympics). I personally would love to finish High School with a 3.8 GPA or above. As for my academics in College, I would love to find myself in classes that involve Math and Science although I do not yet know a specific degree.
Thanks in advance for your consideration,
