Hello, my name is Reagan Snyder from Littleton, CO – Class of 2023.
I started playing volleyball when I was 7 years old. I had tried a few other sports, but I knew that this was my sport right away. I am an outside hitter with very versatile/strong hitting. I am also a well-rounded volleyball player being able to play any position wherever the coach/team needs me for the greatest impact. I am not the tallest on the team but always one of the top vertical touches. I am constantly striving to improve by spending 200+ hours/year attending clinics, camps, private lessons, strength & conditioning, etc.
As the team Co captain, I am known for always being heard on the court talking/communicating & encouraging my teammates. I know it’s important to talk as a team and I love keeping everyone “up” on & off the court. I also enjoy working with the coaches and teammates to come up with strategies on the court.
I am going into my junior year and my goal is to play in college at any level. School has never been easy or natural for me because I have been diagnosed with cognition & auditory processing challenges. This means I must work extra hard in school, adding additional hours of tutoring & brain training each week to overcome how my brain wants to learn. It makes schoolwork tough, but I know with hard work and determination I am overcoming these challenges.
I have loved Forensic Science and fascinated by crime scene investigations and am considering a career in law enforcement, crime investigation, Homeland Security, or counterintelligence in the armed forces. My athletic side, after spending so much time strength training has gotten me interested in exercise sport science. I would love to teach people the importance of strength and conditioning for performance and injury prevention.
