Hi! My name is Eliana Tolentino, and my overall moral in life I strive to live by is to live happily, present, and in the moment. My goal this year was to really focus on my school work and volleyball, along with also focusing on my love for my family and church as well. I love the atmosphere of the game, being with my teammates drives me to work harder, and also allows me to have fun. Having volleyball in my life is a great outlet for my anxiety, and allows me to just focus on the game. Although my sophomore year was very difficult, I was able to perverse through the support of my team, my family, and my faith in God. As a student, my primary objective is to connect myself not just within the classroom, but also outside of it. Taking an independent study class called Capstone, and putting myself out there by applying to the National Honors Society has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I am eager to learn more about myself.
My passion for volleyball really started to take form my freshman year. Something in my heart told me to try something new, and with the support of my family, I tried out for the volleyball team. Ever since, my life has changed completely. Now being a junior, I can see myself improving everyday, with every game and every play. I condition throughout my season, along with working with my teammates throughout the summer. My love and motivation for volleyball grows everyday, and I can't wait to see where it will take me!
