Ivy Ashmead '28 Recruiting Profile

Since I was young, my dream was to be a professional volleyball player. I loved to watch games and mess around with my own little volleyball. I would say I am a good candidate for the following reasons: I choose to pick up my team even when we’re losing and try my hardest to give them support, I may mess up at times but that’s how I learn from my mistakes, and I’m energetic and ready to learn more. I can’t say that I’m any different than anyone else, because I would most likely say the same things as the rest but I’m always up for a good game. I love to win games, I love to challenge myself and I am very competitive. Athletic wise, l have always grown up doing sports my whole life and enjoyed them so much but volleyball was the one that stood out to me. If I don’t end up playing volleyball beyond highschool I plan to educate and coach young athletes. I’ve always kept up with my school work, with turning papers in on time and keep my hard work up even when it got hard. I am mainly a straight A student with maybe one or two B’s.
