Hello! My name's Kathryn Kindt and I'm a 5'5" DS/OPP from Sasebo, Japan. Beyond playing volleyball, I want to pursue a degree in Business and be one step closer to knowing all there is to know about running my own company. I've been very interested in the topic all throughout high school, completing the entire Business CTE pathway before graduation as I enjoyed taking every class. Anyways, I've always been told that I'm a student before I'm an athlete, so now that I've gotten that out the way, I'll talk volleyball. I see myself as a great candidate for a collegiate volleyball team for a couple different reasons. Firstly, due to my desire to always get better and never being satisfied. I believe that there is always someone working just as hard as you or even harder, so you must always try to work harder to achieve the best possible version of yourself. Additionally, I work well in groups. It sounds fairly cliche, but I've ran into a lot of talented people who cannot work with their peers and as a result, they aren't respected or taken seriously. Being a military child and constantly working with diverse peers with different skills, it's taught me to work towards a similar goal with the people around me despite any differences we may have in a respectful and productive manner. Lastly, I am very easy to talk to, and I've been complimented on my coachability many times in the past. I take criticism as a necessary tool for getting better, and am grateful for any opportunities I have to receive it. In conclusion, I believe my qualities as a person, student, and player render me a great candidate for a volleyball team at the collegiate level. Please feel free to contact me at my provided email if you wish to learn more about me, I'm happy to elaborate or tell more.
