Hello, my name is Ava Vickers. I am going to be graduating in the class of 2028 from Corbin High School in Corbin Kentucky. In my years of playing volleyball, I have been a setter, right side hitter, and defensive specialist. All of these positions have taught me how to be a leader on and off the court. Volleyball has taught me the importance of having confidence, having a sense of hustle even if you are tired, and build relationships when most needed. Most coaches have told me that my best trait is how coachable I am and how respectful I am whether its towards coaching staff or fellow players. I aspire to work towards a career in the medical field while also continuing my love for volleyball. I am dedicated to specializing in a field that helps athletes who are injured and unable to play be able to get back up and play again. What makes me different from other recruits? My school stresses the student before athlete mentality, so I know how to balance my schoolwork and athletics. I am also very flexible and open to learning new skills that will better help the team I am with. I look forward to building future relationships with potential coaches and colleges.
