Skylar Kirby '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Skylar Kirby and I am a 5’10 outside/defensive specialist for the class of 2025. Although I just came into this sport 4 years ago, I have fallen in love and have dedicated myself to volleyball ever since. I spend my time at club ball and school ball practices, but when not doing that I am practicing at home. I am also on the weightlifting team for my high school and enjoy being in the weight room. My past experience of 9 years of competitive cheer and dance has lead me to be such a positive aspect on a team. I am coachable and even when I do something wrong, I get right back up after every point and lift others up too. My collegiate goal is to find a college I enjoy attending, with the major I want to pursue, while also playing the game I love. Being apart of a team that feels like a family is also an important factor for me.

Other than to play volleyball in college, I would like to major in a specific study. I take all honors classes and classes at our community college and will graduate with honors in high school. I am undecided on what I want to study, but I know I want to achieve good grades and graduate to set myself up for the best future. 

I am hardworking, a fast learner, positive, and am dedicated to achieve anything that I love. I strive to be the best person I can be on and off the court. This is why I would be a great asset on your team.
