As a player on the high school level, I have been fortunate to have had opportunities to play on a successful high school team, an older level club team and a team who had the amazing opportunity to play the sport that I love while doing mission work in the country of Belize in the summer of 2019. Through the variety of these experiences, I have learned how to be a team partner with a variety of athletes, how to be a leader on the court, and the commitment that it takes to be a successful player both as part of a team and to improve as an individual athlete. I have the drive to be successful, ambition, character and the leadership abilities that I feel would be valuable to a college level team. I have been a captain on my teams as well as the leader of various clubs at my high school and have learned that a good leader will lead by the example of hard work and commitment to the team.
Winning back to back district championships with my high school team, and being the first team from my school to ever reach this goal, has made my desire to make my senior season just as successful. I know that this will require that I become a vocal leader on the court and I plan to use what I have learned from these past 3 years success to, hopefully, lead my team to a 3rd title. There is no I in team and I realize that my growth and success is in direct correlation with the success of my team. I plan to use my senior season to grow as an athlete and a leader to be prepared for a college program.
