Personal Statement
Hello my name is Allison! I have played school and club volleyball since 7th grade, and I have been a starter on every team. I fell in love with the game of volleyball when I stepped on the court, the first day of practice, but the dream to go to college was sparked when I watched my first college game. The speed and power of the players amazed me and I decided then I had to do everything I could to play at that level.
As a student my academics are very important to me. I am taking Dual Enrollment Classes to get ahead for college. In addition I also take part in the Health Science program. After high school I plan on pursuing a Nursing degree, and following that I would like to become a CRNA. My school accomplishments include being a member in the Nation Honors Society (NHS), Secretary in the Health Occupations Student of America (HOSA), and being on the Honor Roll. So far in my high school career I have accumulated a 3.9 GPA. All of these achievements took hard work, planning, and a lot of time management.
I made the Varsity volleyball team as a sophomore last year. Seeing the way the team interacted, showed me that girls need to be supportive and encouraging to their teammates. This season I was voted team captain by my teammates. When I'm not on the volleyball court I enjoy rollerblading, or any other outside activities. Plus I have a job as a store clerk, which allows me to be social with customers. This job teaches me about patience, respect, being on time, and being cooperative with others.
