Kayla Stubbs '22 Recruiting Profile

My name Kayla Stubbs. I have been playing volleyball for two years now. On try out day I instantly fell in love with the game. Ever since then I’ve been dedicated to becoming the athlete that I never thought I would be. I will continue to strive every day to be successful in volleyball and in all areas of my life. Over the years I’ve realized how education can have such an  impact on my life. So, it is my goal to continue to make academics one of my top priorities, along with volleyball.  

In my 2 years of learning,  I’ve learned more than just the game of volleyball, I’ve learned how to be a great teammate, show sportsmanship, maintain  academics, love a victory, and  how to embrace a lost. Throughout all of the things I have to balance in life, volleyball makes it all better. I’m really excited about where I get to go from here. 

This year will be my first year ever playing in club volleyball. Whether it's in college, high school, or club volleyball,  I am all the way open to learning any position I am assigned. I am also an athlete that loves criticism and work hard at applying it. I am extremely excited in improving my skills and learning more morals of volleyball.
