Emma Friel '22 Recruiting Profile

I am midway through my Sophomore year of high school.  I have made the decision to work with a strength and conditioning coach in the fall in addition to during club volleyball season.  I am coached by Brett Bader of Bader Sports Performance.  We focus on strength, conditioning, placement, and alignment.  Doing this has taught me how to not waste movement and energy, but be in position for the touch, block, and/or hit resulting in more points for my team while I am on the court.  

Club season has started and I have been moved to middle from outside hitter.  2018-2019 was when I made the move originally.  Since then, I have became comfortable with the position, the movements, and have shown the ability to score points from MH/MB.  

I am still coached by Lisiane Matsdorff, but the club has been moved and plays under the name of THR33 VBA.  

My goal remains to play volleyball at the next level while still receiving a quality education.  I tried several other sports and found my passion in volleyball when I was 10.  I learn every time I am on the court and appreciate hard, but constructive coaching.  I like being part of the team atmosphere.
