Alice Cawley '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Alice! I am a 5'10" senior outside hitter and defensive specialist. I am very hardworking, coachable, versatile, and determined. I am also very positive and a team player.

I first began playing volleyball when I was 14 years old. I've been playing at Eastern Volleyball Academy for 4 years. I was a middle blocker during my 16's year and a 6-rotation outside hitter and opposite in my 17's year. This year I will be playing OH for my 18-1 team. I am a very versatile player, and I am comfortable playing any position. I made my school's varsity team sophomore year, where I played as an outside hitter and setter. My junior season I was the middle blocker on varsity. This year I am the varsity captain, and I am playing OH. During my junior year, I had the second leading amount of kills and the leading amount of aces and blocks on my high school team. I was also ranked 8th in the state of NJ for leading amount of aces. I was named 1st team All-Conference in the Cape Atlantic League in 2021.

Academics are very important to me, and I take it seriously. Throughout high school, I have maintained a cumulative GPA of a 4.39. Last year, I took AP Psychology, AP Language and Composition, and all honors courses. This year I am taking AP Literature and honors courses. My GPA this semester so far is a 4.54. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. Additionally, I am involved in many clubs at my school. Some clubs I participate in are Student Ambassadors, Spanish Club, Interact Club, Bake Club, and Green Girls.

In my future, I am planning to pursue a career in International Business. It would allow me to do what I enjoy, which is to travel and learn about different cultures and their economies. I am also fluent in Portuguese, and proficient in Spanish which will allow me to network with people globally.
