2019 HighlightsMy name is Naja Satchell, and I am going into my 4th year of high school volleyball and 3rd year of club. Having played basketball my whole life, I've always had a strong athletic background and have always pushed myself to be the best I can be in whatever I do. However, when I began high school the passion and love I had always felt for basketball began to fade as a new sport, being volleyball started to give me a great new feeling I had never felt towards basketball. Playing volleyball has shown me that I'm capable of so many things that I never thought I would be able to do. Volleyball brings me so much joy and even on days I don't have practice, I find myself constantly picking up a volleyball and playing with others or even just myself.
I am a very coachable player that is always looking to improve, likes to be pushed, and works as hard as I can. Despite some setbacks I still put 200% into the sport that I love and don’t let these setbacks deter me from my goals. I still have a lot of potential yet to realize and am growing everyday. I'm very competitive and always maintain a positive attitude towards not only my coaches and teammates, but myself as well. I live for the volleyball atmosphere and thrill I get while playing it. I aspire to play volleyball through to the collegiate level at a school that fits me both athletically and academically, as school also plays a huge role in my life. I am looking to major in nursing and become a pediatric nurse practitioner in my future.
