Kassandra Matiz '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kassandra Matiz. I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade. I absolutely love the sport and hate every second that there is neither club nor high school season. I am an extremely hard working individual both on and off the court. I display my academic skills in  school and manage to have time for the sport I truly have a passion for. I play a year above my level in club for a National team when I am only 15. Every minute during practice is an opportunity to become a better player. I am a very outgoing person and always keep things happy and loud on the court. I stay focused and have a very strong mental game and don't get frustrated easily because if I mess up one point, that point is in the past and the next point is in the present. I encourage my teammates to try there best and am very competitive. My goal and dream is to play for a college that pushes me to become a better player and that provides me with the courses necessary to being accepted into Vet school in the future. I can not promise that I will be the best player on the court, there is always someone better and there are always those bad games, but I can promise that I will strive to always be that ideal player and will give you my full effort always.
