I am a standing 6'2", solid and strong player with a love of volleyball! In my collegiate career, I would like to pursue something in the sports medical field focusing on helping improve athletic performance by preventing and recovering from injuries. Other areas I am drawn to are Psychology, Pharmacy and Dentistry. I have been a team player, starting at the age of 8, two years playing softball and the last 7 years playing Club volleyball, 3 years of school ball, knowing that it takes a team to be successful! I love to have fun on and off the court, but take the sport seriously as I have a great passion for volleyball. Everyday I strive to perform at the highest level for my coaches, team mates, family, as well as myself. I continue to grow physically and mentally in the game every day and soak up as much as I can from my coaches and peers. I like to encourage my team mates on and off the court.
The 2019 Season is where I received the nickname of “Big Mac”. Our team had 11 Seniors with several heavy hitters who were so much fun to play with and learn from. I ended the school season with 254 kills, 63 blocks, 33 aces and 93 digs I received the award for highest Offensive hitter with a .312% and 1st Team All-Conference player. My 2020 Season was a bit different with Covid. I had to quarantine twice, missing several strong opponent games including Regionals. I ended the season with 349 kills, 42 Blocks, 24 Aces, 153 digs, was highest offensive hitter with a .265% and 1st Team All-Conference Player.
Focusing on my academics is a high priority to me, ranging from a 3.9 to a 4.0, making National Junior Honor Society my Freshman and Sophomore year and National Honor Society my Junior year. I balance a busy family life, with 1 older brother, 1 younger autistic brother and 2 younger sisters, I baby sit, do school work and volleyball every day. I mentioned my brother that is autistic because he has helped me develop a deep appreciation for individuals that have special needs. His situation has taught me to encourage, support and help develop others to help them achieve their goals in life.
