Personal Statement
I have been playing volleyball for five years, and in that half decade it has easily become both a passion and priority in my life. As a freshman, I played varsity, which harnessed my newly found skills and allowed me to apply them to the sport. My personal goal is to beat my school's record for most accumulative kills. I am a leader in my community and school, between town volleyball tournaments and being a member of Chickasha Key Club. Through these outside activities, I strive to help those in need and encourage my teammates to broaden their horizons. As well as this, I try to remain positive in the face of adversity, allowing challenges to make me a stronger individual. There is a quality in myself that finds the importance in teamwork and partnership- playing for the association on the front of my jersey and not fighting for glory for the last name on my back. There is a belief that I have in each one of my teammates that far surpasses rank or fame. Along with balancing outside activities and a job, I maintain a 4.08 GPA and a strict discipline that has allowed me to reap the benefits of my hard work.
