I started volleyball about 3 years ago and I just fell in love with it. I really like volleyball because it's so fast-paced, you carry a lot of energy when you're on the court, it's practically year-round when you play club and school seasons, and it requires you to give a 110% and you can't be lazy. I have played a couple of different positions, but I especially like playing as a libero because it's a natural leader position and I feel like, within my personality, I have a loud voice and I'm not afraid of speaking up. Also, I love being in almost every play and being in the action. During the few months of my off-season, I really push myself to make myself better. My school does strength and conditioning workouts towards the end of the summer that I attend. I have also had private lessons with my club coaches, and I am not afraid to work on something that I struggle with. During my 2020-21 club season, I had one of the best coaches that I've ever had. She pushed me to my limit, taught me all aspects of the game, challenged me on and off the court, and she had a personal relationship with me. She is a coach that I can go to with a problem about volleyball, or in my real life. Along with babysitting her kids, in the little free time that I have, I love doing photography for my little brother's baseball team and posting those pictures to Facebook for all the parents and grandparents to enjoy. I love watching Oklahoma Sooners football and LA Dodgers baseball. ESPN is normally the only thing on the TV at my house. Lastly, I love traveling and going on family vacations to the beach. As far as colleges, both of my parents went to the University of Oklahoma, so it has always been my dream to go there.
