- 2022 Highlights
Personal Statement
I am a senior at Damascus Christian High School and have played competitive volleyball for 10 years; six of those years included playing for Adidas NW Juniors Volleyball Club. Due to changes resulting from COVID, this past year, I played on the 17-1 team for Aspire NW Volleyball Club. The past four high school seasons, I was the starting setter and outside hitter in a 6-2 rotation on varsity and my team has had continued success in the post-season. As team captain this past school season, I learned even more the importance in leading my team in mental toughness and grit as we faced challenges within a match and throughout the season. Over the years, I have started as a setter, outside hitter, libero, defensive specialist, and even a middle blocker. I work to be an asset to my team in whichever position I am asked to play. I am a multi-sport athlete and consider myself an all-around volleyball player that can play multiple positions. This past club season, I was a starting defensive specialist and see myself in a Libero/DS position at the collegiate level. I am a highly competitive player with an all-out mentality while on the court. I strive to uphold a 4.0 grade point average and take school seriously. Additionally, I would like to compete in the spring in track and field throwing javelin in college. My goals are to continue to grow as a person, a student athlete, a volleyball player, and to take the next step and play at the collegiate level in a competitive, caring and consistent program.
