Mahayla Gomez '29 Recruiting Profile

My name is MJ Gomez, I have played competitive volleyball for 3 years now. When I was a 6th grader I tried out for travel volleyball with the intent to be a practice player. At tryouts the 12U gold coach approached me and asked what it would take to get me to travel. At the time I was playing basketball, but this coach was determined to work around my schedule. I made 12U gold as a 6th grader, 14U gold as a 7th grader and I am currently on 16U gold as an 8th grader. I currently love playing OH, but I have had the opportunity to play MH, and RH positions. my goal is to be able to play all the way around. 

Sports have been a part of life, weather it was watching my siblings or playing myself. My heart belongs to Volleyball, but I also play basketball and softball. I am a well round student, and carry a 4.0 GPA. I am currently in middle school taking advanced classes to prepare myself for the next level. I am determined to play at the collegiate level, not only am I competitive I have a personality that make me a great team player.
