Madelyn Duelley '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches, my name is Maddy Duelley, USAV High Performance L/DS, class of 2023. A little bit about my journey the past couple years, when Covid hit and basically shut down the country, me and my family moved from South Carolina, to Las Vegas, Nevada.  After being there for around a year, me and my family moved back to South Carolina. Unfortunately, because of the move  back, I was unable to play club volleyball this season. Most would look at me moving twice during the most crucial time in my young athletic career to be an obstacle. But, I choose to see it as a blessing. It gave me the opportunity to see a different style and speed of volleyball on the West Coast and to train and play with different coaches and teammates from different areas of the country. 

What sets me apart from most, is my intense drive to be the best I can be in all aspects of my life. I'm a high character student-athlete and let my faith guide me. I am a true leader on and off the court, extremely coachable, and enjoy a disciplined environment. What I am looking for in a coach, team, and university is first, to grow and share my faith. I have a strong aspiration to be a dermatologist, so strong academics is a must. Athletically, I am looking for a highly-competitive, disciplined program that will help me reach my ultimate potential. Which I strongly feel is being one of the top defensive players in any conference I play in. I strive to be the leader in the back row and on the team. I lead by example with a servants heart.
