Grace Bybee '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Grace Bybee and I currently live in Rapid City, South Dakota with my mom, dad and sister. I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and fell in love with the sport, and I have been playing ever since. 

 Throughout all my seasons I have grown not only my skills but also my mental game. Mental game is such an important factor, having a strong mental game means to put the mistakes behind you and focus on the next point, being confident in not only yourself but also your team, maintaining a good attitude and overcoming comfort zones. 

Volleyball is a team sport and I love to interact and grow in relationships on and off the court. I get so excited to encourage and cheer on my teammates through every point. Throughout this past season I have discovered what being a leader really means. Being a leader means to put others before yourself, set goals and hold yourself and one another accountable, communicate with one another and always showing respect to not only coaches, refs, and your teammates but also opposing teams. I am so blessed to be able to play volleyball and I can't wait to see what God has in store for me.

My dream is to major in Sport Science and go into Clinical Management or pursue a degree in ministry. I am driven in the classroom and love to learn new things. Academics are first priority and I hold myself accountable to ensure I submit my very best work. I love to socialize and form friendships with not only my classmates but also my teachers.
