Maggie Hughes '25 Recruiting Profile

       I discovered my love for volleyball when I tried out for my middle school team in the eighth grade. Since then, volleyball has become a huge part of my life and something I want to continue to be part of in college. I recognize that playing at the collegiate level is a huge opportunity and commitment, and it's a role I'm eager to step into. 

      I am a very strong blocker and and have a high volleyball IQ. I'm coachable and always strive to be the best athlete and teammate I can be. I love the support and culture of being on a team, and I'm always cheering my teammates on.

     I have a strong academic background taking honors and AP classes and maintaining a high GPA.  I assist in coaching a team of 14 year olds at my volleyball club and I've volunteered to teach clinics with young athletes in the past.  I'm in the gym 5 days a week training, lifting, or coaching.  My love for the game of volleyball and desire to grow my game is always driving me to improve.  

     I want to go to a college where I can grow as a player and a person, and find a team that feels like a family. I'm open to all options right now and have a real desire to continue to to play volleyball after high school.
