Being the best, working the hardest, and achieving my goals are all very important to me. In both volleyball and school. My ultimate goal is to become a surgeon, I know that it will take a lot of work, as do most things worth having in life. Last year I read a book called Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable by Tim S. Grover, it changed my perspective on how I did things on the court and in the classroom. There’s one quote that really stands out to me: “Being relentless means demanding more of yourself than anyone else could ever demand of you, knowing that every time you stop, you can still do more. You must do more.” That’s how I want to play, to work, to live—relentlessly.
