Demi Carter '24 Recruiting Profile

   My name is Demi Carter. I am a 6'2" middle blocker/right side from Orange, Texas, and I'm in the graduating class of 2024. As of right now, I have a 9'9” approach touch and a 9'4" block touch. I play club for Houston Stellar 17 Elite and attend Bridge City High School. I hold a GPA of 4.79 and am currently ranked 3rd in my class.   

   Before I began my volleyball career, all I played was basketball since I was 4 years old and all the way up to my 7th-grade year. After I tried out for my first middle school volleyball team and began playing, I fell in love with the game!  I also started playing Club volleyball in 7th grade, and after that, I knew that this was the sport I wanted to pursue at the College level! Through playing volleyball I have learned the importance of communication, teamwork, responsibility, and hard work.   

   Throughout my high school career thus far, I have earned multiple superlatives and tournament awards. In 2020, I earned Newcomer of the Year and Academic All-District. In 2021, I earned Middle Blocker of the Year, YMBL All-tournament, Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold 2nd Team, and LoneStarPreps Texas HS Top Blockers List c/o 2024.  In 2022,  I earned First Ever THSCA Volleyball Class 4A Super Elite Team, Beaumont Enterprise 2022 Super Gold Volleyball Player of the Year, TGCA All-Star - Team Blue 1A-4A, Arlington, Texas, TGCA All-State 4A Volleyball Team, District 19-4A MVP, 12 News 409Sports Athlete of the Week, VBallRecruiter 2024 Players to Watch List, All-KOGT Volleyball Team-Offensive MVP. I also was invited to and attended the Under Armour Next Camp Series. I have also been included in VBallRecruiter's 2024 National Player Rankings.  My goals academically for high school is to maintain a 5.0 GPA throughout my 4 years and graduate in the top 5% of my class. As far as college goes, I hope to get an athletic and academic scholarship. I also hope to get a Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Animal Science.  I am looking for a school that values its athletes not only athletically, but academically and personally, as well.
