My name is Jade Washington. I fell in love with volleyball in the 3rd grade and continue to love this sport! I started playing select volleyball when I was 11 years old, and earned a spot on the top team each year, including this year. As a freshman, I earned a DS position on Varsity. After the first game, I started as the libero and have maintained this position to date.
As a freshman, I achieved the following: 11-6A District Newcomer of the Year (2021) and Super Centex Newcomer of the Year (2021). Our team was Bi-District Champions and we advanced to the second round of playoffs. This year I received the honor of All Tournament Team in the Grandbury Classic (August 2022), was selected as the 12-6A Defensive Player of the Year (2022), Super Centex 1st team (2022), Academic All District (2022) and we advanced to the Regional Quarterfinals.
I desire to play volleyball at the next level and pursue higher education. Even though, I am barely 5'0, I am a small package with a lot to offer. I am a very hard worker and will always put my team before myself. I love playing volleyball because it has helped me develop character and build strong, working relationships.
