Personal Statement
Winning the Virginia state title with my school team has been the highlight of my volleyball career. From tryouts we knew it was going to be a special season and we were willing to put in as much work as it took to be #1. Not only did we accomplish this goal, but we were 31-0 and ended only losing 4 sets the whole season. I look forward to the chance of another unforgettable season with my teammates.
Volleyball is my passion and both of my sisters also play. When I get home from a doubles game or a tournament I always ask if they want to go pepper outside or just play at all. As an eighth grader, I was a captain on the JV volleyball and basketball teams at Lord Botetourt High School. I have also played club volleyball for 3 years and was selected as captain last year for the NRV 16's team. These leadership roles became a priority and a major responsibility and I loved it. I have no doubt that my teammates and coaches believe that I excel in leading a team. I am looking for a school that not only has great academics, but also a volleyball team I could contribute to. I am sure that my passion and determination could make an impact on your program. Being a dual sport athlete and an honor roll student makes me sure that I could be a great addition to any program!
