Devan Funke '23 Recruiting Profile

It's one of my biggest dreams to play collegiate volleyball at a school known for academic excellence.

I've known for a while that my favorite sport is volleyball because it requires teamwork and mental dexterity. Versatility is my biggest strength as an athlete and a student. I have become a well-rounded volleyball player due to my experiences playing as a middle early on, as an all around opposite in club, and most recently as a setter and opposite for my high school team. My passion for volleyball is only secondary to my strive for academic excellence. During these unprecedented times I've maintained straight A's and acceptance into Governor's School all while excelling in beach, travel, and high school volleyball. This past year has shown me that I have the aptitude and drive to become a successful collegiate student athlete.
