Hello there! My name is Emily Lewis. I live 40 minutes outside of Richmond, Virginia. I am a Homeschooled Christian athlete graduating in 2021 and I currently have a 4.0 gpa.
I have played multiples competitive sports including bowling and cross country. While I enjoyed these sports they lacked the true team atmosphere I desired. In June of 2017 I started playing volleyball, and I instantly fell in love! My favorite things about volleyball are the team atmosphere, the pace of the gameplay, and the physical and mental activity! I have continued to pursue playing volleyball with XZone Volleyball Club located in Chesterfield, VA. I have been selected Captain of my team for the last 2 years. Playing volleyball has taught me many things about myself. I have learned self-discipline, gained personal confidence, and leadership experience.
I decided to pursue playing in college because I want to challenge myself while playing the sport I love. I am willing to put in the work and see what the Lord has in store for me!
Ever since I was 6 years old I have wanted to be a veterinarian. I plan to study biology in a pre-vet program to become a Vet Technician.
It is important for me to attend a Christian college with a strong Christ-centered atmosphere, a solid Pre-Vet program, and a competitive volleyball team. I am eager to see where the Lord leads me in this journey!
