Devany Obin '22 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior at Bruton High School in Williamsburg, VA.  I've been playing volleyball for over 6 years and continue to try to  improve each day.  I am Captain of my Varsity High School Volleyball Team (past Captain in High School 3 prior years), three time Captain of my Club teams, member of our school's Student Athletic Leadership Team,  work hard to maintain a high GPA and work part time.  I was Team MVP this year and recently chosen to First Team All Region for our division 2A.  My main hobbies are cooking and training our 2 family dogs but I have also been learning to sew and enjoy crafting with my Mom.  I have played lacrosse, basketball and soccer but my true love is volleyball and that is what I ended up putting all of my extra time and dedication in to.

I am a hard working, driven player on and off the court. I love to compete!  I try to set a good example and like being a team leader. My goal is to attend a College/University where I am able to excel on the court and in my chosen area of study which is Forensic Science.  I am looking forward to finding the right college match at the highest level of competition possible and really want to help make a positive impact in your volleyball program.  I look forward to being a part of a great team and continuing to develop my skills!
