From a young age I've been told that I am a natural leader, I've always been outspoken and strong, yet have compassion and empathy and always there to help someone no matter what. I have been nominated as captain of my volleyball team for the past 3 years playing on a 15, 16 and 17 Nationals team for Williamsburg Volleyball Club (WVC), and play Varsity for the Jamestown High school Volleyball team. I have always wanted to lead and help people, which is what has inspired me pursue the path of going into medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. I have always been driven by determination and hard work, I was nominated to be the 10th grade representative for Jamestown high school and have been reelected as 11th grade representative for student to student which is a program to welcome transfer students to their new school and area. My parents have always told me, "You can do anything you put your mind to, and you can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives you strength" and I have always applied that each and every day. I have consistently made the honor roll each year and I don't settle for anything less, rolling in at a 3.8 GPA, I continue to put in the hard work no matter what. I believe my drive, determination and heart sets me apart from my competition, I will never give up, not on my team nor myself or anything I put my mind to.
