I've always had a love for volleyball. For as long as I can remember I've been watching it. Between going to my brother's girlfriends high school and college games, I was fantasizing about being there on the court. Then not long after that, my dream came true. Ive been playing for about 8 years. I started playing at my local Boys and Girls Club on a small rec team. As soon as I first touched a volleyball on that court, I immediately knew I loved it. It became everything to me. Then, I later moved up to middle school and started transitioning to setting as my main position. Becoming a setter brought out the best part of me. Not only did it turn me into a better leader on the court, but off the court as well. Although, soon after starting high school, I quickly realized that I loved defense. Whether that be DS or Libero, thats where I see myself playing at the next level. Playing at a higher level and having such commitment to volleyball has turned into a better leader for my high school team. I am always the one to be loudest on the court and a fun/supportive teammate. Im a strong, all-around player with the dedication and athleticism to play at the next level. Im very coachable, hard-working, and team oriented. Ive played club volleyball for the past 4 years and it was all I could ask for and more. I enjoy the challenge and competitiveness of playing at a higher level. The lessons Ive learn and the friendships I have gained along the way are some things I will never forget. Playing club helped me to constantly improve myself along with countless clinics, camps, and training by myself. Playing college volleyball is not only a long-term goal, but a dream of mine because not only do I love the sport, but it is a part of who I am. I would love the opportunity to attend a college that will allow me to pursue a major in sports management or sports medicine, while being able to continue playing the game Ive loved all my life.
