I love volleyball. For me, it's more than just a sport. It's a part of who I am, not only as an athlete, but as a person too.
I always use an opportunity to get extra time on the court, whether to sub for older girls in their practices, or to help with younger teams. Coaches know they can always rely on me. Consistency and giving my best on the next play, no matter what just happened, or what the score is, has always been my strength, and it brought me the U18 USAV Nationals All-Tournament Team for Freedom division and All-League Defensive Player of the Year for my High School division awards this year.
I attend Tesla STEM High School, which is known for its rigorous college level curriculum and is ranked as #3 public school in the nation by US News.
Most of my classes are college level, so I'm used to being at 100% on the court while managing a tight schedule and demanding academics. AP and dual credit college classes, like Business or AP Psychology, have given me insight into what to expect in college, and are preparing me for what lies ahead.
While quality of education is my priority when looking for college, being able to continue playing competitive volleyball would be a dream come true.
