Hi, my name is Sydney Patton and I am a senior this coming fall at Walla Walla High School. I consider my self different from most athletes because I grew up differently than most families. Not everyone can say they were adopted with a twin sister at 3 years old. I always appreciate what my new family has given me every single day because without them I wouldn't have this amazing opportunity to play volleyball. I strive to work hard, be honest, and caring for people around me. I consider myself a great volleyball player because I am loud and energetic on and off the court. I always think positive on the court and strongly believe communication is what makes a great volleyball team. Dedicating time and bonding with the team is also very important to me to be a successful team.
I am planning to attend a college in the northwest to stay closer to my family and be able to go home during the holidays. I am interested in schools with majors in biology or chemistry that prepare me for pre-pharmacy programs. Currently, I participate in band, FFA, and sports (volleyball and track and field). I love being involved in school and spending time with my friends and family. Additionally, I am in part-time running start at Walla Walla Community College to earn college credits while still in high school. I am most excited to find a college or university I can play competitive volleyball and get a great education.
