Personal Statement
My dad, a former junior high and high school wrestling coach as well as a wrestler himself, took me to our kids club wrestling program when I was three years old. My dad says that wrestling taught him lessons that he continues to carry with him today. Those lessons include discipline, self reliance, mental toughness, endurance, confidence, and respect - all qualities that build character and lead to success. I don’t remember a time when wrestling was not a part of my life. I wrestled my first tournament when I was four years old and got third place. From that day on, I always asking myself what I can do to get better.
