What the Coaches are Saying...
Sep 11, 2018

“As a coach at Mercy College I am looking for true student/athletes. We take our education very seriously , not only do we want you to succeed on the field ,but in the class room as well. As we all know you are doing 4 for 40. What I mean is you're doing 4 years of college to set yourself up for the next 40 years of your life. We all know that you're not going to be professional softball players for a living.. As far as on the field, being a Men's Fast Pitch player at the elite level, I am looking for coachable, intelligent, gritty, hard nosed and very competitive players. I want girls who can learn what we teach and apply it. Have fun, because if you have fun everything else will take care of itself! We are looking for gamers. Athletes who want to win at all cost, hard working and willing to put in the extra time and work, buy into what we want to accomplish. I want ladies who can hit the ball hard and have softball IQ. Our philosophy is simple: Solid pitching, good defense, timely hitting and score more runs than you give up.. ( As a player I have won 5 National Championships, 5x All American and have participated in 2 USA National Team Olympic Festivals) , I expect a lot from my players both on and off the field. If you think you have what we are looking for, I would like to hear from you.. Who wants to build a champion ????”

—Coach Robert Soricelli
