Matthew Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

I have played baseball since I was four years old. I started with one year of T-ball and then moved to coach pitch at the age of five. I have always been on some very talented teams and have tried to be the teammate that plays where he is needed, not where I want to be. I feel that helped me during my junior year on my school team as I have played middle infield most of my career but due to injuries to some senior team members, I had to move to the outfield to help my team. Although we didn't make the playoffs, I was the best teammate I could be and always tried to mentor the younger guy's on the team. Now, I am the Ace pitcher and have moved back to MIF.

 I feel that I have been blessed with the ability to play at the next level and I'm looking for a program that will fit me athletically as well as academically. I believe that as a two-sport athlete, I have the work ethic, Integrity, and characteristics to be a leader on your team.
