Christian Roy '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Christian Roy. I am a  senior at Ramstein American High School located on Ramstein Air Base, Germany. My father is an active duty military member, and we are currently stationed in Germany. Before Germany, my family has lived in Oklahoma, New Jersey, Alaska, and New Mexico.  

Baseball is my favorite sport and I have been playing it since I was six years old. I also play varsity basketball and football for my high school. 

I believe what sets me apart from other recruits is being an extremely well-rounded athlete. I have taken many lessons learned from team sports like basketball, football as well as individual sports like downhill ski racing and translated those onto the baseball diamond. 

As a military kid, I have lived in and visited many places across the world, and believe that I am comfortable being in uncomfortable situations. I have had many teammates and coaches in all the different sports I play, and I believe that I am able to understand and mesh well with all kinds of people.   

On the field, my coaches say that my athleticism, game IQ, and resiliency are the best parts of my game. I am also an Honor Society member that maintains a high GPA in the classroom, so my coaches never have to be concerned about my academic eligibility.

During the summer, I go to the gym about 4 times a week working on weight lifting and conditioning. Additionally, I have attended PlayBall Baseball Academy with the Amsterdam Pirates in the Netherlands, and also played travel baseball with the Rheinland-Pfalz Outlaws. During the fall and winter seasons, I focus my efforts towards the varsity football and basketball seasons. 

In my college sports aspirations, I look forward to connecting with and playing for a coaching staff that is eager to use my leadership, athleticism, and talents to win games. Academically, I am looking for a community-focused campus with a home-town feel where I can feel at home and grow as a student.
