Conner McElderry '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Conner McElderry. I will be a graduate of Cardinal High School class of 2014. I am the son of a farmer and a stay at home mom. I learned to be an extremely hard worker from both parents at a young age. I have been playing baseball since I was about five. I am a corner infielder/ right handed pitcher and power hitter. I consider myself someone who leads by example. I work hard and do my best every day on the field and in the class room. I am someone who will always put the teams success before my own. I love being around coaches and teammates. I always look for ways to get better because there is always someone better than me. My aspiration is to not only become the best baseball player I can be, but to become the best person I can be. I was taught as a child to do my best at everything, no matter what and I take pride in doing just that. One dream I've had since I could remember is to play baseball professionally. I continue to work extremely hard every day to reach that dream.

I currently have a 3.67 GPA and am one of the top in my class. I am a member of Cardinal High School's chapter of National Honor Society. I am the only male athlete in my class in the National Honor Society. I enjoy school very much. I love being around the students and the teachers. I take every chance I get to learn more and help others learn as well. As far as college goes, i am undecided whether to pursue business or education. When my baseball career is over I would like to coach at either the high school or college level. I would like to help young ballplayers pursue to game of baseball as long as possible. When my life is said and done, I want to be able to say I did my best at everything I did and helped change some lives along the way.
