Conner Hempel '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3", 205 lb corner infielder and two year starter from Ryle HS in the N KY/Cincinnati Metro Area, Class of 2011. I throw Right, and bat Left. My primary positions are 3B and 1B. I also play OF. I have 3.64 GPA, and currently have a 28 ACT score. I led Northern KY in hitting this year with a .519 regular season average, was named to the state East-West Junior All Star Game, and was named All State Honorable Mention. 2010 is a very important year in the recruiting process for me for two reasons. First, I have been fortunate to gain exposure as a member of the top club teams in our state, however, I missed the 2009 summer season after my sophomore year due to small fracture. This included a number of important showcases (Area Code Tryouts - Chicago White Sox) and tournaments (World Wood Bat/Perfect Game - Atlanta) which I was scheduled to participate in. Second, I am a two sport athlete who is being actively recruited at the D-1 level in football as a Quarterback. To achieve my highest potential in baseball, ideally, I am looking for an opportunity to play at one of the top academic schools in one of the top conferences in the country. My primary interest is to play at the D-1 level, although I will definitely consider other highly ranked baseball programs and institutions.
