I am a 6'0" catcher from Perham, MN and will graduate in the 2012 class. I have eight years of competitive baseball experience. As a Perham Yellowjacket I received All-Conference and All-Section awards in my Junior season. I have a strong arm, athletic ability, and also switch hit. My recent pop-times are 1.85 to 2.0. I run 6.8-7.1 seconds in the 60 yard dash and I believe I bring a great deal of speed to my position. As far as switch hitting goes, I am a natural right handed batter. From the right side of the plate I hit for power and can hit to both fields. From the Left side of the plate I use both fields and hit for equal power. I also use speed to my advantage and am a great drag bunter/slap hitter from the Left side of the plate.
Academically speaking I am an Honor Student. My GPA is 3.97 and I scored a 29 on the ACT. I am looking for a college that is a good academic match for me. At this point I plan to study psychology with a specialization in forensics. I would like to be academically prepared for a graduate level program. It has always been my goal to play baseball at the highest level; however, I am open to explore oppurtunities at all Divisions including Junior College, but I feel the need to be in a competitive environment both athletically and academically.
