Winning the team MVP as a sophomore was the highlight of my high school career thus far. I felt that this achievement was something I worked toward since I was young. Winning this award showed me that the hard work I've done was paying dividends. The dramatic shift in physical shape that I went through from 8th Grade to 10th Grade showed me that just about anything is achievable if I really worked towards it. Also, playing college baseball at Amherst College was an amazing experience
In saying this, I wanted to preface the fact that over the past few years, I have gained valuable characteristics that I know coaches look for. I was recently named team captain, so I possess the leadership ability to play at the next level. I also have learned (in the years I was not at talented as I am today) that teamwork wins games, not sole players. Thus, I am always willing to make the strategic move, regardless of how it will affect my personal stats. I am ready, and prepared to win games at the next level and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this dream a reality. Thanks!
