Personal Statement
Tommy Lasorda said, “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man’s determination.” From a young age, I have been determined to make baseball a big part of my life. Baseball, school, church and my family have taught me the importance of a good work ethic, a positive attitude and living an honorable life. No matter what I am doing, on or off the field, I am a very coachable team player who gives 100% effort all the time. Irrespective the task, I am always "bringing my A game” while representing myself, my family and my team in a positive light.
Athletically, I train at the MountainWest Baseball Academy where I have participated in the PEAK Velocity program and as a member of the 2021 Scout Team. In addition, I train with my high school baseball team and The Utah Speed Academy. I feel these programs have contributed greatly to my increasing gains in physical stature and performance as a 6’3”, 210 pound high school senior. As a result, I am consistently achieving increasing power behind my swing, and am working all the time to improve my build, strength, speed, agility, mechanics, defense and game knowledge.
Academically, I have maintained a 3.6/4.0 overall high school grade point average and am a member of the National Honor Society. My family and I have always held academics as a top priority, and I will continue to do so while I pursue baseball to the highest level I can achieve. Off the field, I enjoy many extracurricular activities that include participating in the Youth Advisory Board at my church and previously the Salt Lake City Fire Cadet Academy. In addition, l have enjoyed competing in a wide variety of other sports to include; high school football, high school basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, ice hockey, track/field and snow skiing.
While I know I have a lot to learn, I am a determined to make the impossible, possible. Thank you for viewing my profile.
