Jack Ferguson PBR...Hello, my name is Jack Ferguson and I am a rising senior at Abingdon High School in Abingdon, Virginia. I was born on August 8th, 2004, in Bristol, Tennessee. I am currently 5'10.5" and 178 lbs. I am right handed thrower and hitter and I play the middle infield, but I mainly play 2nd base. My secondary positions are 3rd base and I also am a RHP. I am a 4 year varsity athlete in baseball and football, where I started my junior and senior year. I also used to play basketball, but stopped playing to pursue a collegiate career in baseball. I am a 1x state runner up in basketball, 2x state runner up in baseball, and a region champion in football. In my opinion, my greatest attribute in athletics and life is that I don't let failure affect me. I pride myself on maintaining my character throughout adversity and always staying positive. It is difficult to determine if I went 4-4 with two doubles or 0-3 with two Ks because I never change my attitude. I also take pride in notting letting pressure effect me. My high school coach has taught to play without pressure and to just leave it all out there for the game I love. I am looking for a college program that can benefit athletically as-well as academically. I am a 4.0 student and take great pride in my academics. After college, I plan on going to medical school and becoming an anaesthesiologist. I am searching for a college that will prepare me for a life outside of baseball and give me the tools necessary to succeed. I would like to thank you for taking time to read my personal statement and I hope you consider allowing me the opportunity to play for your program.
Sincerely, Jack Ferguson
