Personal Statement
I have played baseball since I was 5 years old, and through each progressing level of play I have been able to adjust, even though several times I skipped age groups and leagues. First and foremost, I am a Christian, and I give my all on the field knowing that I play for God's glory. Secondly, I am a hardworking student. Currently my GPA is over 4.1, and I hope to attend a school that challenges me academically and sets me up well for a job after college. Thirdly, I am an extreme competitor on the field, in the weight room, and everywhere else that I play or develop my game. For a long time I just rode my talent until I was a freshman in high school, when I was told by a college coach in front of an entire showcase camp that I wasn't good enough to play college ball. That drove me to put my talent to work and I have been doing so ever since. I have always hated losing, and that not only includes losing games but also losing in my commitment to my goals and my morals. I have many baseball goals (and life goals), big and small, because I am willing and able to own up to and work on my weaknesses, sometimes to a fault. Thank you for viewing my profile and I hope you can consider me as a possible student-athlete for your school.
