Personal Statement
I made the choice to leave my family and friends in Texas to attend Suffield Academy prep-school in Connecticut for my Junior and Senior year of high school to continue to challenge myself to grow and develop as a well-rounded young man, athlete and leader. This demonstrates my commitment to excellence in whatever I do, conviction to take the actions to achieve my goals, and the dedication to the hard work necessary to achieve my goals. I am proud of the hard work I put in to achieve my current 3.9 GPA at Suffield (my overall high school GPA is also a 3.9) and being recognized as an All New England QB for my Junior season contribution to our team over our nine-game schedule which included:
- throwing for 1,784 yards (single season school record)
- threw for 25 touchdowns (single season school record)
- team selected to play in the 2016 NEPSAC Football Championship Ken O'Keefe Bowl in Boston
I am interested in extending this same approach to my college experience and attend a university that will continue to challenge me to grow and develop as a well-rounded young man, athlete and leader. My focus and commitment will help me both athletically and academically contribute to my team and those around me. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with the honor and respect on and off the field which will continue to add to the legacy of my team, coaches and the school I attend.
