Kristian Hansen '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kristian Hansen, and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and your organization.

I am a confident 6’3” goaltender currently playing for the Pomfret School Griffins a Division 1 Prep School located in Pomfret, Connecticut. Originally born in Calgary, Canada, my family and I relocated to Dubai 12 years ago. I learned to skate in Dubai, playing at every level possible to the point in which there is no where else to go, but expand my horizons and leave home.

My family and I feel the next step in my development is to play at an establishment such as your own, in order to truly maximize the potential I know I have.

My biggest accomplishment as a goaltender is that I have made it this far purely based upon raw talent, in the sense that I have only been in goalie development programs for a short amount of time. With a sickening work ethic I have been able to create progress many have said is second to none.  An organization such as your own is what I am in need of to turn raw talent into success. Previously having used nothing, but my own cameras and the internet as a resource. I was able to earn the opportunity to participate in elite level camps in Canada which saw my level rise exponentially. It is a dream of mine to play in a program with coaches to help me maximize what I believe is limitless potential. 

I believe I am a truly international goalie, having had the privilege to play hockey all over the world in countries such as Sweden, Latvia, Germany, Belgium and Qatar. With my international experience I have had the opportunity to play at levels such as Midget AAA (Latvia), Major Junior (Germany) and against teams like the Belgian National Team (D2A U-18). I believe I have very different perspective having seen so many styles of hockey and this has truly aided my development and my style.

My goal is to achieve a scholarship to an NCAA school, and I believe there is no better place to showcase my abilities then on NCSA. I would love to hear more about your program as well as the process in which I would be able to earn the opportunity earn a commitment to your program.
