My name is Emma McLean. I am 18 years old and believe the most important quality a person can possess is integrity. I pride myself on being someone who does the right thing because it is the right thing to do, not because someone is watching. I am a three sport varsity athlete and like to stay active in my communities, through volunteerism.
I began playing hockey when I was eight years old and instantly fell in love with the sport once I laced up the skates for the first time. I enjoy competing in all aspects of the game and and have had the opportunity to compete against some of the best players in my age group both in the Boston area and national level. Those are the games I truly relish playing in. I enjoy working hard as my effort is the only thing I can really control on the ice. I have been lucky to form some special friendships through hockey over the years that I know will be life long relationships. Hockey is a team sport, and I strive to be a good teammate and positive role model. In my mind, the goals of the team come first and I get the same amount of satisfaction by the successes of my teammates over my own. I would love to continue playing the sport I love in a competitive, close knit team environment at the college level.
