John Patnoe '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals academically are to become an excellent student and find a field of work I truly enjoy. As an athlete I want to develop my abilities to a point where I can contribute to a team in a big way. Past the college scene I would like to go even further and play professionally or coach a team. I believe I am the hardest worker in every room I step in and thoroughly focused on achieving what my team asks of me. I believe I have a type of mental toughness that cannot be taught and if I get knocked down I will always get back up. I am a good teammate who is supportive but also demands the best out of my teammates. I am extremely coachable as I can take criticism well and use it to improve.

As a goalkeeper, I am extremely skilled in my shot stopping. I am extremely athletic and use it well to make up for me being slightly undersized. I command the field with my communication and my knowledge of how to position my players is top tier. In terms of my distribution, I have become very solid as I can find open teammates easily when playing from the back.
